1. It’s harder, scarier and more violent than expected

2.Libraries are for everyone but not those making a statement (security testimony)

3. Face covers are not possible (use make up for facial alterations instead) don't show face until far from sight/site

4. leave no traces (pack light or find nearby stash)

5. Locate security and work as far/quick as possible (specially when working with high exposure performances)

6. You’re not allowed to hand out flyers to people (security testimony) *Flyers and printed matter have to be hidden between books and strategic sections.

7. If your intervention is interactive, don't be polite. Dutch people don't want to be filmed because now more than ever their thoughts, acts and behaviors are at most exposure. FILM THEM, RECORD THEM, AND TALK TO THEM at all times and as much as possible.

8. After the interventions, find a place with someone you trust and do anything to self regulate (plan this so its not forgotten)
It took security three minutes to start chasing us out of the library, after a loud altercation, we were led outside with angry faces and threats to call police. Al-Shaheen after had a conversation with other security guard on what exactly was it that they did wrong. here are the rules based on that first experiment:

Al-Shaheen Falcon is an immigrant bird from Syria who just landed in the Netherlands to seek asylum. He received a letter from the Belastingdienst (Tax Administration), but doesn’t understand the context, thinking it’s about his asylum procedures.

When he arrives at the 100-year-old former post office in Utrecht, he brings the letter with him in the hope of getting an explanation—not knowing that the same building is a now public library. The security comes to see him and says that the library is not a place for political statements. Within two minutes, Al-Shaheen is kicked out, along with a banner from @nietmijnaanslag, thinking it’s his political statement.

The confused bird walks around the Neude square in front of the library entrance, looking for Dutch people who can help him translate the letter. After discovering that the letter is about an investment of €1 billion from Dutch taxes in illegal militarized actions, the flacon unfolds the banner from the library and invites passers-by to visit nietmijnaanslag.nl and join the call to spend money on his new nest instead.
