She designed books, but when necessary, she burned them too.

πŸ”₯πŸ“š on October 14 Becky Stabber in collaboration with The Patchwork Family led the last intervention of the Libraries Are Not Supposed To Be Quiet program.

She used HKU library as a filming site for her calendar ad and the book burning ritual intervention. Becky Stabber is a wild card combination of a book maker, drag queen graphic designer who's currently a resident of the Jan Van Eyck. In collaboration with up-cycling fashion collective patchwork family, Becky features the work and designs of hvmblehvstle while sparking flames into a collection of harmful books.
The Queer Agenda: Book Burning Ritual is a radical act of refusal, a confession that some knowledge must be destroyed, not to be hidden from the world but to be challenged, a book in the library is an answer but a book in the fire pit is a demand.

πŸ”₯πŸ“šOn November 9 all interventions will be presented in a screening program followed by artist talk. Along side it The Queer Agenda calendar.
